The Chûnin exams continue with the remaining Chûnin hopefuls braving the Forest of Death. As the second exam begins the proctors investigate numerous mysterious murders. Among the other deadly teams the forest offers many other  surprises. As the other teams fight each other for survival, Orochimaru sets his sights on Sasuke for reasons unknown. The race is on for Group Seven to reach the tower before Orochimaru reaches them.

The story is still moving on at a perfect pace. This time around Sakura is the one that has the character development. She is finally proven in battle and defends Naruto and Sasuke while they were incapacitated. Several developments occurred in this volume and provided quite a great reading experience.

This volume has proved to be the best entry in the series in terms of action, developments, and story. Many questions were raised and few were answered. We know that Orochimaru has taken an interest in Sasuke but it is unclear why. It is also unclear as to why Group Seven was the clear target of multiple other groups. What is clear though is Sakura has finally proved herself and that is amazing.

With all that happened in this volume I am increasingly excited as to what the outcome will be. It is no longer about whether or not the members of Group Seven pass and move onto the next exam but whether or not they survive. Though I doubt any main characters will be killed this volume has come close on several occasions.

All in all this volume was perfect. All elements taken into account and you have the best entry yet. I have no idea how things will turn out but I know it will be exciting and can’t wait to see what happens. I strongly advise everyone to read this series and hope they will enjoy it as much as I have so far. Naruto volume 6 was a perfect read.
